April 2010 – SAE Membership Structure

SAE International recently reworked their membership structure to better suit their professional and student members and to promote this, put together some promotional videos highlighting the advantage. Representing OU SAE and Grizzlies Racing were Brian Sangeorzan, Faculty Advisor, and Stephen Parker, President, who were interviewed for the Classic and Student Member promos. April 2010 – Latest News!

Grizzlies Racing has finished their final reports for competition and is now completely focusing the full team’s efforts on completing FCX for competition. We recently received our dampers from Kaz Technologies and intake from Solid Concepts and are doing final preparation on FCX for them both. Body work molds are also on their way from Solid Concepts to Prefix this week and will be getting prepped and laid up shortly. Look forward to driving footage shortly!!!

March 1st 2010 – Design IA Reports Due

Today both the Design and Impact Attenuator reports were due for the Formula SAE Michigan competition in May. Through a great team effort, Grizzlies Racing was able to come together in the masses to get these reports in tip-top shape before submitting. We look forward to continuing these collaborative efforts for a successful showing at Michigan International Speedway.

February 2010 – Impact Attenuator Testing Complete

During the past weeks, our IA team has been hard at work making their second attempt at our impact attenuator. After some hang up’s, Mike, Katy and Elsa were able to gain the help of Plascore for some aluminum honeycomb and MGA Research to squeeze in a last minute drop tower test.
