NAIAS Detroit

We have been invited to display our cars at the auto show.  Stop by our display anytime, during the press or public showings.  View our 2010 and 2011 vehicles and ask about our design plans for our 2012 car.  Learn more about our current sponsors and sponsorship opportunities.  The picture above is a sneak peek of part of our display.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

End of Season

Overall the team had a very successful season.  We made continuous improvements throughout the year.  We utilized the data received from earlier races in the season and were able to make modifications and adjustments to improve performance.  We had over 100 autocross runs with the 2011 formula car.  We are currently designing the 2012 vehicle.  We are looking forward to a successful 2012 season.

2011 Detroit SCCA Points Leader

Grizzlies Racing was named the points leader for the FSAE category in this year’s Detroit Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) season.  This was the third consecutive year that we received this title.  During the season we participated in several Detroit SCCA heats.  Numerous times we set the outright Fastest Time of the Day.

By participating in these events we test different systems on the car, and hone our autocross skills.

Support from Kaz Technologies

We sincerely appreciate the support from all of our sponsors.  We would not be able to compete and succeed without your generous support.  Recently we were testing the vehicle and had issues with our shocks.  We were scheduled to participate in an event the next day.  Luckily Kaz Technologies assisted us with this issue.  We were able to fix our vehicle and participate in the event.  Thanks Kaz Technologies for all your support!  If you are unfamiliar with their products check out their site at http://www.kaztechnologies.com/.

From the Driver’s Seat-by Scott Meyers

With the completion of Sunday’s SCCA Regional Solo race, another successful season has sadly come to a close for Oakland University’s Grizzlies Racing.  The Day started damp and windy, then progressed to sunny and windy, with a slight sent of victory!… too much?   Anyway… we unloaded knowing the ol’ girl was going to be bad fast!  This weekend we ran 2 classes, FSAE and A-Mod.  The drivers racing today were, Ryan CieChanski, Stephen Parker, Tom Garvey and myself.  Both Ryan and Stephen raced the FSAE class in session 1, and Tom and I raced A-Mod  in session 2.  We were glad to have Ryan back in our car again; he is an OU alumni and drove for us in 07, 08 & 09.
